Dr. Salwa Derksen
Dr. Salwa Bakkali-Derksen is a highly skilled internal medicine physician with extensive experience in treating diabetes, obesity, hypertension, and heart disease. She has a strong interest in rheumatology, naturopathic medicine, and women’s health. With over a decade of experience as both a hospitalist and outpatient clinician at Mayo Clinic for the last 7 years , Dr. Bakkali-Derksen is renowned for providing outstanding patient care.
In addition to her clinical expertise, Dr. Bakkali-Derksen brings professional experience in quality assurance, teaching, and mentorship. Her academic achievements include degrees in computer and biological sciences, culminating in a Doctorate in Osteopathic Medicine. Her clinical interests extend to osteopathic manipulation and hormone replacement therapy. Having worked in various hospital systems across multiple states, she is also fluent in three languages, enabling her to connect with a diverse patient population.
Outside of work, Dr. Derksen cherishes time with her family and four active children. She delights in watching them participate in basketball, soccer, and baseball, and pursues her own passions for travel, hiking, CrossFit, and running.

My name is Beatriz Garcia, and I am a Front Desk Associate, Certified Nursing Assistant, and Phlebotomist with over six years of experience in the healthcare field. I am currently pursuing nursing school and am deeply passionate about providing compassionate, attentive, and patient-centered care. I take pride in helping ensure that every patient leaves feeling comfortable, satisfied, and well cared for.Outside of work, I am a proud mom to a four-year-old daughter who loves dance and hockey. Her dad and I are incredibly excited to support her as she grows and explores her future, which inspires me every day both personally and professionally.
I’m a registered nurse with 8 years of experience, specializing in home health and home infusions—where I get to combine my love for flexibility with my passion for building genuine connections. I believe great care starts with trust, and I have a knack for turning first visits into long-lasting relationships.
When I’m not caring for clients, I’m chasing after two tiny humans and one very energetic dog, all of whom have zero respect for personal space or snack boundaries.
Fueled by coffee, compassion, and the occasional car karaoke session, I bring heart, humor, and authenticity into everything I do.
My name is Andrea Buchar. I have been a registered nurse for almost 20 years. Many of those years have been spent working with infusions of all sorts. I am used to starting peripheral IV's on patients with known difficult veins whom often require an ultrasound machine when admitted to the hospital. I am excited to start a new journey with Aesthetics helping people enhance their natural beauty!
I live in Lakeville with my husband(Darik) and my 2 beautiful children(Mikayla and Zackary). We are a very active family in sports, outdoor activities, fishing and LOVE spending time up north at our family cabin.

Sara Mulligan brings an extensive history working in the field of social work, with years of experience supporting individuals and families through compassionate, client-centered care. She now serves as the front desk staff and social media content creator at Empower Wellness, where she combines her organizational skills, creativity, and passion for helping others to create a welcoming and engaging experience for the Empower community. Outside of Empower Wellness, Sara enjoys cheering on her kids at sporting events, traveling, and spending quality time with her family.
I have been a nurse for 21 years. I am an RN with a Masters in Nursing LeadershipMost of my career was in Labor and Delivery. I also worked in a clinic in primary care and mental health.
I am passionate about empowering patients by providing education and support. That is the thing I love most about being a nurse.
I have two sons, and 3 dogs. In my spare time I love being outside walking around our little hobby farm. It’s so peaceful
